One of the Spinnery’s earliest designs and still a classic favorite, the easy slip stitch pattern turns an otherwise basic cardigan into a project of distinction. Set-in sleeves reduce the possibility of underarm bulk. Great in Mountain Mohair.

This is a classic fall sweater, perfect for a weekend in Vermont! I was delighted to design this pullover in Sylvan Spirit, a yarn whose single ply construction is consistent with the rustic feel of the Green Mountain Spinnery, while the Tencel® content lends a lovely and slightly dressier, sheen. It beautifully shows off the cable and lace stitch pattern edging this raglan.

A basic shape and an elegant stitch pattern harmonize in this everyday cardigan for intermediate knitters. Worked in pieces from the bottom, it has a three-button closing at the neckline and modified set-in sleeves

“I love working at the Spinnery and I’m proud of the quality of our yarn, which comes from the way it’s made. The Spinnery has always felt like family to me.” Shows are also very rewarding for Maureen because she gets to talk to so many knitters and find out what they are making and which yarns excite them. Maureen is known for creating elegant functional designs with a straightforward knitting experience, and this Fair Isle yoked vest, knit in the round with a steek, is no exception.

I love working with Spinnery yarn. I’ve been knitting since I was about 5 or 6 and have used lots of different yarns over the years. None beat the consistently high quality and variety of fibers of Spinnery yarns. I designed this hoodie in honor of my grandnephew. Closed with either buttons or a zipper, it is an easy and quick pattern for the active child in your life.
