Hand Me Down – 286

Designed by Cap Sease

Not too long ago, all clothing was handmade and built to last. Garments were well worn, passed down and shared between siblings as a growing family and growing bodies required. This timeless unisex ragg pullover is designed to be shared with sizing to include any member of the family. We expect that this hand knit will become a fast favorite and that you may need to make more than one!

A new sweater, three ways

Elizabeth Doherty released her newest pullover pattern this week, Sian.  It is a top-down slipped stitch sweater that is a dream to knit and wear.

This design, and the slipped stitch texturing that is featured in it were inspired by a trip to Scotland’s Outer Hebrides. Each of the stitch motifs reflect a different aspect of that landscape, including the waves, walls, flocks of sheep and little stone huts of the islands.  Her pattern calls for a DK weight wooly wool that will allow that design to pop with clarity and retain comfortable elasticity.

A trio of pattern updates

Designed by Larisa Demos

Worked in the round from the bottom up, the Sap Run Vest sports a simple lace pattern on the front panel that evokes the welling up of sap in the Spring. Green Mountain Spinnery’s Sylvan Spirit adds to the versatility of this piece with its blend of fine wool and Tencel® Lyocell in a DK weight.

ReTweed – 293

Designed by Kate Salomon

It has been a tumultuous year with overwhelming news stream that is as difficult to absorb as it is to disconnect from.  To balance this in a small way, we’d like to offer something simple, beautiful and heartwarming for you to knit and share this season.

Our FREE ReTweed cowl pattern is crafted with a straightforward slipped stitch pattern made more sophisticated by alternating three colors.  This snug fitting unisex cowl will comfortably fit under a winter jacket, and can easily be modified to a different circumference to fit your preference.  Best of all, you may be able to make more than one; giving you a ready gift for someone you love!

Elevate – 289

Designed by Kate Salomon

We are members of a tight-knit community that is working towards inclusivity, compassion, and equality.  Working together and listening with love will raise us all towards our shared goals. That intention of partnership sparked the idea for this pullover. The clean geometric design that graces this unisex pullover shines thanks to the differing yarns at play in the colorwork. By consciously selecting a vibrant worsted-spun yarn or gradient to contrast with the lofty woolen-spun body, your yoke can glow.
