Mud season is upon us and that has many of us here at the Mill craving signs of spring. We are drawn to bright colors and trying something new to spice things up a bit.
Holly, (who runs the shop on weekends) has been satisfying her desire to play with color by trying a bit of dyeing. She and her grandkids have been experimenting with Kool-Aid and Rit to paint bright hues on our Merino Bulky and Merino Worsted skeins.
Her kiddos create the stunning colors and learn about about the process; and she then knits and felts dense, warm mittens for them. These keepsakes will be a fun holiday gift later in the year that will always remind them of the happy afternoons they all shared in her kitchen.
We hope that you can join the fun with our suggestions for a great dye kit and a FREE hat pattern below.
